Well, we have officially hit a rough patch. 0-3 last week. The Broncos showed up way to late against the Falcons, the Texans let up a late TD vs Jake Luton for a backdoor cover, and the Steelers almost actually lost to the Cowboys. Sometimes you look at all the numbers and at the end of the day the game has to be played and stats are just stats. Of course we have to move on so lets get back on track with this week’s best bets.
1) Browns(-3) vs Texans
Well the Browns failed me 2 weeks ago and the Texans failed me last week so naturally I have to give my input on this game. The Texans have 2 wins the entire year and both are against the Jaguars. The Browns on the other hand are coming off a bye and getting some reinforcements back in star RB Nick Chubb and TE Austin Hooper. The Texans defense is awful especially against the run giving up the most in the NFL per game at 159.5. The Browns are one of the best running teams in football at 150 yards per game. The Texans are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games while the Browns are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home favorite. Give me the Browns off the bye Browns 30 Texans 23
2) Rams(-1.5) vs Seahawks
I like everyone else, hate betting against Russell Wilson. Yet, this might be the best opportunity to do so. The Rams are coming off a bye and are well rested where they are playing at home and they haven’t lost yet this season. As good as the Seahawks are on offense, their defense is horrendous specifically on defending the pass. As of right now the Seattle D is on pace to shatter the most yards given up via the air by almost 1,000yds. The Rams defense has been very good. They are 2nd in yards allowed per game at 291.5 and are they are only giving up 19 points per game. They are also 5th in the league in sacks at 25 so they should be able to get after Wilson. The Rams are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home favorite while the Seahawks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC West. This is going to be a good one but I’ll take the Rams in a shootout Rams 34 Seahawks 28.
3) Dolphins(-1.5) vs Chargers (PJ’s Guarantee)
I feel like a broken record, but I will say it again. I love this Miami Dolphins team! No better team to pick after 2 straight weeks of PJ’s Guarantee failing. The culprit this team was the tik tok boys of the Pittsburgh Steelers failing to cover vs Garrett Gilbert and the Cowboys. The Dolphins are the hottest team in the NFL winning 4 straight and you can sense they have this swagger to them that they believe they are going to win every game. While the Dolphins find ways to win games the Chargers simply can’t play a complete 60 minutes losing every game this year by single digits. The Dolphins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. AFC and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Chargers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Miami.
